Best coffee and pastries in Arizona! This is a hip contemporary cafe that meets the needs of Gen Z, Millennials, Baby Boomers to the very OLD but the bottom line -- all are welcome. So whether it's a game of cornhole or a cozy chair with a felt wrap on those cooler mornings, the owner has you covered! But come with an appetite - my three favs are the Chia seed pudding, avocado mash or lox bagel ALWAYS paired with a red-eye. A wonderfully charming coffeehouse! I actually had a Darjeeling tea and their lox bagel, and both were delightful. My bosses turned me on to this place, and I’ll be going often. Everyone who works here is very pleasant, and the atmosphere is great.

My absolute favorite coffee shop.i feel like its insulting to just call it a coffee shop. Starbucks prides themselves on the experience. Here you recieve a true experience and everything is amazing. I love the food and coffee. Its real. And not loaded with a bunch of artificial sweetners. They do have vegan options and seriously make it one of a kind.

Great little hidden gem. Delicious mocha. Also had a prosciutto and parmigiana sandwich that was excellent.

All pastries are baked in house and I cannot explain how incredible they are. I'm not normally a morning pastry person but for these delicacies I will make an exception. It's like I'm back in Europe in a family cafe where attention to detail is first and foremost. Excellent coffes, teas, etc. Warm friendly atmosphere. I LOVE THIS PLACE!!

We're from Seattle, where coffee is more than a beverage - it's a way of life! :) Was so great stumbling upon Carefree Coffee Roastery - it's now our daily grind both when we're in our Scottsdale home and also when we're back in Seattle. Love this place and their coffee is top notch.

An excellent European style coffee shop. The tea choices are amazing and the coffee tastes great. They sell beans by the pound and will grind it for you. A little expensive but it definitely tastes better, so it’s worth it.

Wonderful service and quite delicious coffee. The espresso is stout and beefy. The cold brew drinks like an iced tea on a porch on a hot Sunday afternoon. Both were quite refreshing and a great pick me up. We also are taking home a pound of their house blend to brew at home. Wonderful people, great atmosphere, and is on my short list of places to get a bit of quiet work done.

Lars and Carrie are the best and my husband and pup look forward to our visits there for coffee and breakfast every weekend! Great coffee and great folks!

This is one of my favorite coffee shops ever! The coffee is absolutely incredible and they can make it just about any way you want it! The baristas are also incredible at latte art-- it's an Instagrammer's heaven! The food is just divine as well. The environment has such a great community vibe, the owners and employees are delightful, and the shop adapted well to pick-up options during COVID-19. Highly recommend!

I have never had better coffee. I ordered a chocolate mocha and it was heavenly. The barista was great, there were so many options to choose from to ensure that you were getting the coffee you wanted made the way you wanted. Such options as soy milk, low far, 2%, whole, sugar free options. My friend got a low fat, sugar free latte macchiato with sugar free caramel. The service was efficient, the space was clean and had an amazing outdoor seating space to look over an amazing view. 12/10 would suggest and I will be going again!

We love Lars and his friendly staff! His baked goods made by his mother are spectacular ! He keeps his coffee house spotless ! And the clientele is all so friendly !!

Drove all the way from Phoenix to check this place out and I wasn’t disappointed. :) Great cafe with plenty of outdoor seating and unique and inviting interior. The service was quick and very friendly. Their coffee was delicious and the peach cheese cake was amazing! Outside was nice and quiet with not a lot of traffic driving by and only the occasional conversation from other people at the cafe. I will be back for sure!

The coffee here is amazing. I'm not normally a cold brew type of girl, but the cold brew here is smooth, light and has a nice after taste. I also ordered their daily drip and once again, great taste. The cookies are to due for. Loved the coconut cookie!!
